can;t hear a song without wanting to play it

i can't seem to hear a tune on the radio, at a concert, on disc, etc... without wanting to play it. everytime i meet with my music partner, i have about 3-5 new tunes i want to do. luckily he is just as nuts. tonight we did aint no sunshine, communication breakdown (slow blues style), me and bobby mcgee, standing on the moon (a grateful dead tune), and he had a new original.
