After seeing more and more great professional pickers using these strings, I took the plunge!
Boy do I like them. They have a much better feel than any other coated strings I have used!
Plus, all the strings are coated. The black strings really look cool on the mando.
Just curious if any of you have tried them?
From what I have read, Black Diamond totally revamped amd joined forces with another string company. I am not trying to put other srings down as I have a drawer full, but I am really impressed.
Happy picking!!

Were those the N774B? If so where did you purchase or order from?

I tried them and have to say I didn't care for them. I usually use Phos Bronze strings.

Put on the Black Diamond and they just sound a little muffled compared to UN-coated strings. I guess you just have to make that sacrifice in sound if you want the longevity that coated strings give you.

Also the black strings on black fretboard drove me nuts.

Sorry to say but Black Diamond was the ONLY strings I have ever put on and took them right off. I hated to waste the money but I just couldn't get used to them. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif
