Since the main motivation for this tour has been the number of emails
we received from Mandolin Cafe, Comando and our own newsletter list
requesting that I book the Frank Wakefield band on the east coast, I will
see if I can tap into the mandolineer think-tank for some help.
We are doing good so far on the "GO EAST" Tour project. #In NY it is
looking like we will be playing at The Turning Point and at The Parkside Lounge.
These venues were suggested by the think-tank and the managers of
both venues either know a lot about, or are big fans of #Frank Wakefield.
Each are planning special nights for Frank. #These are smaller rooms, but
they will be selling advance tickets. #
Now, some folks I have talked to in NY have suggested avoiding Pennsylvania
completely due to the roads. #This seems kind of radical so, does anyone here
know about the roads in Pennsylvania? # We could use at least one venue
in Pennsylvania to carry us over to NY at this point. # I have been to
Pennsylvania a few times but I don't remember anything about the roads.
We will try to hold group lessons on this trip when we can fit them in.
Anyone interested in being part of a small group lesson with Frank on the mandolin,
Jim Moss on Bluegrass fiddle technique or Jim Lewin on flat picking guitar technique
should contact me directly at FWB_GoEast04@candlewater.com to let me know.
I will post any itinerary and tour map updates at:

Thank you for all the great support.
