Hello all. I'm newly registered to the cafe. I've played mandolin since last August, played guitar for over 30 yrs and fiddle for longer than that. Thanks in large part to the great advice and reviews on this board, I bought an Eastman MDC805 mandocello two weeks ago. It is a great instrument! Bought from the Old Boise Guitar Company, who I highly recommend. Looking forward to many hours of discussions here, when I can pull myslef off the strings.

And welcome again. I'm pretty jealous - I've been wanting one of those for a good while. It's amzing there aren't more around! (There's a good Eastman dealer where I marvel at the guitars, but he insists I ORDER before he gets an 805 in. The nerve. :grin: ) Congratulations.

Welcome aboard!!!! This CBOM board is quite addictive. Even though my main axe is the mandolin, I just started on the mandocello and I've really learned alot here. You won't be dissappointed!!!!

That's a fine cello, I strummed it before it shipped off to Boise ;)
