I've been offered a battered Tonelli mandolin. it's about 1940s. The seller is genuine (he's a hurdy-gurdy maker / player) but he has no idea of its value. So;
1 What would a rough valuation be and;
2 Given time and a great deal of persistence, could a novice repair such an instrument?
