I am interested in discovering and then learning the TAB for the music that is normally associated with the into to Masterpiece Theater. It is the Rondeau by Mouret. It is a catchy tune that I have been able to pick up a bit by ear but would like to be able to nail it down. Any members out there that can help me.

I think that it would make a nice jig.

I can give you the notation for it but Tab is beyond me...

Here's the ABC. Best I can do. BTW, probably make a better shot at a reel than a jig...

Rondeau ABC:

X: 1
T: Rondeau
M: 4/4
L: 1/8
R: reel
K: Dmaj

Love the tune. I've got the first two parts down cold, but the third part as eluded me for years. (I've been quite happy about the first to parts so I haven't really tried to get the third.)

The title of the piece is Premier Suite des Symphonies: Rondeau. Allen Richmond and the Dayton Mandolin Orchestra do a very nice version on Creole Belles, or you can find the old Masterpiece Theatre version on a release called Cinema Classics 3.
