I'm looking at a vintage Vega Tubaphone mandolin banjo; serial # is 40002. Anyone know the year?

Looks like 1922 if you use this (http://www.mugwumps.com/acf_date.htm) as your guide.

Well, if I use it as my guide, I get 1921, since 40000 is listed as the last number for 1920.

According to the serial number list in the White Tree Productions Miscellany section, known serial numbers for 1919 are 35017 to 37162 and for 1920 are 40071 to 45235. This would put the banjo mandolin serial number 40002 at being late 1919 to early 1920.
