View Full Version : Paul Mccartney Dance Tonight
I think he plays it in F tuning or something? I made my cover in normal tuning.

McCartney does it with his mandolin tuned down a whole step. The intervals between the strings are the same as standard but the whole thing is flat by a whole tone. You just have to work on your rhythm/timing. The chords sound pretty decent. I found the videos by quoting your post. I can't see anything in your message box. I hope nobody else can either, then it isn't my computer.
Yeah Mine is for some reason seems abit spend up ain't it? What can I say I'm kinda punk at heart :))

{JM}, it isn't the speed. You are actually putting too many beats in some measures before you change chords in the second part. Try using a metronome or a drum machine to give you a tempo and you'll see what I mean.

I think it would have also sounded great, played on a good Uke - again a different musical 'texture'.
This is English (former rock & roll star Joe Brown) at the concert held in memory of George Harrison, singing "I'll see you in my dreams". I think the use of the simple Uke is really sweet - Joe is also a great Mandolin player,
