Can anyone recommend a jazz chord book for Mandolin?
Thanks
Pete
This site right here used to list jazz chords, IIRC. Pat McClintock sticks in my mind as the author/collator. I printed them off and stuck 'em in a book.

I think this is worth a try for jazz chords: Here (http://www.jazzcittern.com/modeexplorerweb/home/lessons/mandolin/chords.aspx). It's good to be able to build your own. But that's just half the battle, I know. Where to use them, I think, would be well illustrated by a fake book, like the Real Book.
I really hope that helps, and I wish you the best!

The Jethro Burns Book--
yes, Jethro's book is a good start. But go take a class from Radim Zenkl if you can! He's a master of three note swing chord teaching. Loved his classes, and I feel he helped my playing a lot. The charts he gave me in class have been a deep well I've worked from for a few years now. He is very in tune to the notion of a moving bass line in the chord progressions, as you normally find in swing guitar playing. He has as good a grasp on the technical side of the music theory as anyone I've studied with. Thanks Radim!
