That's the exact same model my buddy has (the first mandolin I ever played). I shopped around a few months ago and as I recall the 'new' price on the mandolin itself, sans case, was about $260. So that looks like a good deal.

As for the mandolin itself, it's decent. Not super, but decent for a basic mandolin. The acoustics are OK and it sounds good when plugged in too.

The one my buddy has seems to have problems staying in tune, though. And I don't care for how tiny and thin the fret wires are. Nor am I a huge fan of rosewood fretboards. But all in all, I'd buy one at the price you're looking at with the case as a 'beater' or back-up.

That is identical to my first mandolin (same brand/model), and it has a plywood top, back, and sides. It was fine to learn on, but it sounded thin and dead acoustically -- and sounded merely OK plugged in. Unless you plan on playing through an amp most of the time, there are better acoustic-only options at the $200 pricepoint, such as the all-solid Kentucky KM-150s (http://www.janetdavismusic.com/km150s.html) for ~$220, or innumerable used options that frequently pop up in the classifieds if you can spend a little more (like this Trinity College (http://www.mandolincafe.com/cgi-bin/classifieds/classifieds.cgi?search_and_display_db_button=on&db_id=33367&query=retrieval) for only $300 w/ case -- which is a good deal IMO as it typically approaches $400 or more on the used market).
