We have two stores in Nashville. Each has a great number of instruments. The Valley Arts store is near Gruhns. The Bluegrass Showcase is near Opryland and the airport. We have a TREMENDOUS number of instruments. Usually about 30 mandolins, 50 banjos and a couple hundred acoustic guitars. We handle Gibson acoustics, Bourgeous guitars, Santa Cruz guitars, Huss and Dalton guitars, Gallagher Guitars and G&L electric in addition to the full line of Gibson. For many pickers it is like guitar heaven. It is one of those you have to see it to believe it places. You can try them out with not obligation and if you decide you can't live without one we can help you arrange delivery to your destination. In addition, you can come in and ask for me and I'll be happy to show you around the place. You never know what we may heve in the shop for repair etc too. Sometimes we even have some good deals on used instruments. It's sure worth the stopover.

I live in Memphis. There isn't much here in terms of mandolins. Bob's Fishers Musictown on Summer Ave has the best selection but most are lower end models like Alvarez, MK, Goldtone etc. He usually has one Rigel and an A9 and F9 in stock and that's about it. The best place for quality acoustic guitars is probably Martin Music in a suburb of Memphis called Cordova (at Germantown Pkwy and Club Center Drive). If you're brother has any interest in electrics you might want to check out the Gibson Guitar factory in downtown Memphis just off Beale Street. They have regular tours. BTW, there are lots of opportunities for bluegrass jams (in and around Memphis) Mon, Tues, Thur, Fri, and Sat.

Stop in and see Kim at Cotten Music store
when you are in Nashville. I think there
is a map at this website. If not, there
is a phone number.
