The telling part for me is not so much Sierra's breaks but her rhythm playing. Listen carefully to her backing up Sam during his breaks. Listen to how musically mature she is at 10 :disbelief:

I tend to like Mando playing that produces very clean, bell like sounds with as little growl as possible. That's strictly a matter of taste, of course, but Sierra does that as well as anyone I've heard. I listen to "Secrets" just for the breaks. I would love to have more instrumentals on her next release.

I've read a quote from Adam Steffey that Sierra Hull is his favorite Mandolin player right now.Thats why I bought her CD. That's probably why I am enjoying it so much. She is great ! :mandosmiley:

She's an unbelievably talented individual ... The tone she pulls out of any mandolin she plays is amazing. And as mentioned, she's no slouch on the guitar either ...
