Hi people, this is my first post but I've been lurking for a little while.
I got me a mandolin about 3 weeks ago after about 6 years of playing guitar. It's a cheapy little thing but it seems to be doing the trick because I've hardly touched my guitars since getting the mando!
Anyway, as I never really did much picking on guitar I'm learning it from scratch on mando and I seem to be picking it up quite nicely.
But here's my question: When you've got two consecutive notes played on the same fret but different strings, what's the left hand protocol (is that the right word? I couldn't think of a better one)? To barre the two strings simultaneously, or quickly move from one string to the other? Or use two different fingers?
I hope that makes sense - I'll explain it better if needs be.
Thanks all
Jon
