Mandolinist and instructor Joe Martin will be teaching a Mandolin Master's Class on Saturday, February 28th, 2009 at Ascension Lutheran Church in the Fellowship Room from 1pm-6pm. The address is 2512 Nash Street N. Wilson, NC 27896.
This will be a interactive, group session, with plenty of one-on-one individual time. Just bring a fully functional mandolin, a notebook and pen, and a small recording device such as a tape recorder. Some mandolin background will be helpful but not necessary. Strong emphasis on taking very simple melody lines and adding to them to make a tune sound more advanced will be taught.
Joe Martin has 33 years experience on mandolin, banjo and guitar and has 18 years experience teaching Adult Continuing Education Stringed Instrument Classes at Wilson Community College.
