Hi there,
I took the tailpiece cover off and now it wont stay on no matter how many times or ways I try to put it on. Any advice? Thanks. I have a Washburn
Also, I'd like to thank everyone for their help with my last post. My problem was solved.

Either leave it off or replace it with a one piece tailpiece. It never fails to amaze that people will spend thousands on a quality instrument with that incredibly chincy stamped metal contraption.

meneermalik - You can bend the sides of the cover or the tailpiece in or out a little to make it a little tighter. Eye ball the fit to see which one looks like it needs to be bent. You can use a pair of hand held sheet metal benders called duck bill that are about 6 inches long and have smooth edges so they wont scratch it up. Good luck!

Try bending the sides to increase the friction. I have done this (in little increments) to make the tailpiece cover tighter.
