I was up at the second Peace Country Bluegrass Fest over this last weekend,and there was some great playin goin on! A band from Prince George called `Milburn Mountain Boys` were the hottest ticket for sure.I got a new cd from one of them and was impressed. Also a band that sounded like listening to a high quality studio album brightened things up considerable.They were `The Tragically Hick` out of Calgary.4 part harmony ,and a dobro player with the second loudest axe I have ever heard ( a Tubb) The Canadian Military`s Snowbirds were doing a show at the airport the next day and treated us to a 9 jet diamond formation right over mainstage. (Bad for the mainstage act. Good for the Airshow) I`ll bet no one has ever seen THAT at a bluegrass fest before! I got to tell you though ,my favorite part of the fest was getting to play with all the `old time fiddlers` from thereabouts. Man, can those old cats play! I got in about 14 hours playing with those guys ,Maybe 8 different sessions,,,FUN FUN FUN>>>
