I'll be in Anaheim Jan 22-28 and would love to find a jam, or cool places to listen to music. Anybody out that way give me some hints? Thanks,

Bud, there's and Old Time session at the Anaheim Community Center on the last 3rd Saturday of each month - next ones tomorrow - the first hour is a "slow session" followed by a "fast session" but there's no hard and fast rule as we each take turns choosing a tune and its speed. Anything goes - as long as the instruments are acoustic. Singing is encouraged - from Sloop John B to Willow Gardens etc. We work from the Fiddlers fakebook or the Portland collection. Might be just what you are looking for.

Saturday, January 24th, 2009, TLT Jam, 5 – 7 pm. Anaheim Community Center, 250 E. Center St. Anaheim.

Saturday, Jan. 31st, 2009, - 1 – 4 pm, Community Jam at Mo’s Fullerton Music, 121 N. Harbor Blvd., Fullerton, CA 92832. Co-Sponsored by The Living Tradition and the Southern California Dulcimer Heritage.

Seems there working me so dang hard out here, I don't have anytime to pick. I hate it when the job gets in the way of a good jam. There's still time, perhaps I can make the one on Tuesday.
