To the gentleman who last night at the Ricky Skaggs concert, let me see, hold and stumble through a few notes on his April 12, 1923 Loar, thank you. That was so generous and I will always remember it. When I was a young boy a similar simple jesture from a mandolin player started my love affair with this wonderful intstrument. I only hope I too can someday offer a similar experience to some other player.
