Why do I feel uneasy about this listing?

What is it about this listing that makes me feel uneasy other than the fact that the lister does not describe the mandolin very well? I can't immagine this mandolin having a rosewood neck, and I'm pretty sure that that aint a spruce back on it. OK, maybe he just doesn't write very well. Does anyone know if this model is all solid wood constrution? I'm thinkin that it might make a good beater, travel companion or jam session instrument if the price is right.

That looks like the kind of thing people say when they don't really know what they are talking about and got it wrong when they tried to repeat what they were told.
Somebody probably told him the top was spruce and he mistakenly thought that meant the back too, or else it's just the wording that makes it seem like he said the back was spruce.
The fingerboard is probably Rosewood, somebody probably told him that and to the uneducated that might mean the neck.

I'd say it's pretty standard spruce/maple and not intentionally misrepresented.

The mandolin you referred to has two screws on the trussrod cover which indicates it is one of the older Japanese-made instruments.
