Hello!

I'd like to thank everyone for their support of "Cool Mandolins for Kids"!

Many of you have contributed both money and instruments to make this
program a success. I can't thank you enough for your kindness! Your generosity will be so appreciated by the children who receive a mandolin and start their musical journey. This is a gift that cannot be measured.

In particular, I would like to thank Scott Tichenor for his hard work in promoting this program. Scott is so humble and works relentlessly to make Mandolin Cafe an incredible website. I know that Scott never stops working...nights, weekends...he is so committed.

I wish everyone a wonderful holiday season with friends and family.

Thanks again!
Laura ;)

I too would like to thank everyone that has supported this, from the $5 donation to those generous individuals and companies that went as far to donate instruments. Many of those supporting are very own members here that we interact with on a daily basis.

I've already stated this in a blog posting made a few days ago and will say it again: it was Ted Eschliman's idea of contributing some of the proceeds from his jazz book that was the inspiration for this event. As with so many things, I take in the inspiration of others and try to do something good with it.

Also, special thanks to Laura for her program and for Sharon Elliott who runs the CBA Kids of Bluegrass program. I had a note a few minutes ago from her saying she intended to post out here, but I don't think she's a member yet so am waiting to hear back from her.
