Anyone know where I can find a picture of a mandolin that looks like a fish? I remember the same builder made a watermelon mandolin.

I wanted to use the fish mandolin photo as an avatar over at a fishing message broard I belong too.

Those are some wild looking fiddles. I liked the hurricane shaped one! Fiddle Oddities (and Mandolin Oddities (http://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1137&highlight=oddities).

'The Guppy" belongs to Bjornte Hassle of Princess Zena and the Old Men Boys, my favorites are the bluesgill and flounder bass, actually autographed by Lloyd Lure hisself!

Just looking at them gives me a haddock. What's the porpoise of making such weird instruments? Bet they sound cod-awful, though it's hard to say without herring them.

Still, a bit shellfish of me to take up space on this thread; guess I'll clam up for now.

Oh, the huge manatee! I knew I should've stuck with coral music. Allen, old chum -- I don't know whether to whale or start kraken up. But here's an urchin reminder: If a guy doesn't know jack about how to tuna mandolin, or play scales, eel never amount to much. I should probably stop making crappie puns just for the halibut. With friends like me, who needs anemones?

Who here is a catch-and-release collector?

It's cod awful Jamie. I think Allen and Martin do this just for the halibut.

I don't know Mike. Maybe they do it to drum up some laughs and drive the blues away. My advice: don't cause such a big roe over this and avoid being a prawn in a much larger game.

I've only had to send one mandolin back after a trout, because it was crappie.

I think the Freshwater (http://www.freshwater-instruments.com/) mandolins are only flat tops. But they are a krill to play.

It would have taken a very special pair of hands to make a mandolin like that. You got it...

The hands of a sturgeon!
