Are there anymore Beanblossom Modolin players out there? I have an F style . First one shipped to me was made in China and was a piece of junk.. Had a bad neck and multiple bad frets. sent it back for a replacement. Next one they shipped was made in Korea and was perfect in every way ,2nd one also included a pickguard and better case. I replaced the bridge with a Weber bridge, scooped the extension widened the nut slot at the g string and put on J 74 strings and now have what I think is a very good mandolin. By the way this is a solid top mandolin no plywood. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mandosmiley.gif

I bought one these from a bandmembers next door neighbor who bought it on Ebay. Not sure where it was made, but it sounds alright for what I paid for it. Solid top with laminate sides and back I believe. The action is good but the intonation was out a bit. It's got good volume but not a lot of character or woof. The strap hanger works well on it too.

I traded my beater guitar for a new "A" style Beanblossom. I am new to mandos, so I'm not qualified to be a real critic, but I like it. Right now, a friend has it to learn some chords to some gospel stuff we do together, so I haven't had it to fool with lately. I think it's a great beginner model. If I keep my interest, or I can't get it back from my friend, I can see myself with a better one.
