View Full Version : Arsonist Headed for Rockygrass
Well they're really only planning on playing the old Hank Williams song "Setting the Woods On Fire" but it'll be one hot set. If you want to hear some toe tapping knee slapping good time music be sure and check out the Wilders at Rockygrass this year.
If you want to see some video of them check out this set they did at the Kennedy Center. Click on the July 8th performance.

If you've ever wanted to dance while playing the mandolin but didn't know how watch Phil Wade and learn.

Being here in the KC area, I've seen the Wilders play a few times - most recently at the Lewis & Clark Signature Event in KC. They played a great set. Love the energy they bring to the stage.

I saw the Wilders in Moab, Ut. They played a free show and there were only maybe 30 people there. They really know how to put on a great old-timey live show. Thier stage presence is just as impressive as thier tight picking (all done with instruments raised in the air and pointed to their one mic). A great act to see. High energy old timey.

The Wilders are a TRIP! Great, awesome, hard core, head banging, foot stomping, old time bluegrass band.
I love their show.
Best seen at night ... because when the lights are on them ... they really shine! (and more people dance at night.)

oh ... and they will be at RockyGrass tomorrow! Yeah!
If you want a pretty humorous read about traveling musicians life on the road check out the Blog section of their website
Wilders Weblog (http://www.wilderscountry.com)
If you go back to when they started out in May and read through to now you'll see that life on the road definitely has a lot of ups and downs. Traveling through New Mexico and Arizona in an non air conditioned Winnebago just doesn't sound like a lot of fun to me. #http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
