Details have been finalized for the Mike Compton and David Long Workshop in Madison, WI. #It will be held on 7/25 (Sun), 12:30-3:00 pm, at the home of Carmen Burnett, 1421 West Skyline Dr., Madison, WI. #It is intended for those who are at least "advanced beginners" and have a basic knowledge of the fretboard and know the basic chords, etc. #The cost of this fantastic learning opportunity is $50. The workshop will be limited to 15 participants.
My conversations with the instructor(s) have convinced me that this workshop will go "deep" into all that is mando. For example---the dark depths of the Monroe style will be plumbed, the intricacies of right hand technique will be explored, and improvisation and playing out of chord positions will be covered in detail. I am also sure we will discuss and debate which pick to use!!! It will be fun!!!
