I am going to be in Sydney Australia from November 21-December 1st. Any suggestions on places to hear music, good instrument shops, builders, jamming sessions, etc.

Any other musically-related travel advice would be most welcome.

Can't help with Sydney sorry Trevor, but if you decide to come up to Brisbane there might be something.

Travel advice - Aussie quarantine is quite strict. I have heard of musical instruments with skins being confiscated so it might pay to check if this sounds relevant.

I was there last December and had no problem with entering or exiting with my mandolin.
