I'm new to the message board and fairly new to the mandolin (about 2 years). I'm slowly working my way through David Grisman's instructional CDs from Homespun, and I'm in the grip of Dawgfever.
The more I listen, the more I think the man's a genius (as are so many of the talented musicians who've played with him, such as Mike Marshall, Mark O'Connor, Tony Rice - the list goes on and on).
The original David Grisman Quintet album really opened my eyes (or should that be ears?), followed by Hot Dawg, and the live album with Stephane Grappelli.
I really wanted to get hold of the other albums he made around that time (Quintet 80, Mondo Mando, and Dawg Jazz/Grass), but they all seem to be out of print. You might be able to find them on vinyl on eBay, but I don't have a record player.
I came across this thread from a year or two ago, and it looks as though some of these tracks became temporarily available at the Acoustic Disc website (which is awesome).

Does anyone know if there has been any update on the availability of these out-of-print CDs, or whether Acoustic Disc might make some of the tracks available again?
