Phil: Look on Tim's home page: www.timobrien.net

There are lyrics and an mp3 that you can get. Here's a cut and paste of the words:

Players: Tim O'Brien -vocal and mandolin, Jerry Douglas - resophonic guitar, Charlie Cushman - banjo, John Doyle - guitar, Casey Driessen - fiddle, Dennis Crouch - bass

Recorded live at Telluride, Colorado, June 20, 2004.

Bush In The White house doin his best
Election day's comin he'll have to pass the test
To keep his job in Washington
Big John Kerry runnin up the middle
Still hasn't said who'll play second fiddle
You can bet bet he's lookin south

Rumsfeld and Chaney holdin the reins
Controllin the spin in GW's name
That's how it's done in Washington
They're sellin us war, they're sellin us fear
Wonder what they'll try to sell us this time next year
I'm pretty sure that it eats oil

This oil is your oil, this oil is my oil
And to the victors go the oil spoils
From the Texas State house to the Texas White house
This oil was made for you and me

Bush poll numbers takin a dive
I hope he's not cookin October surprise
Say it ain't so, say it ain't so
Very best plan that Kerry can choose
Is just to keep his head down and let old "W" lose
It just might work, it just might work

US voters stilll have a voice
Political parties don't give us that much choice
Big money wins most every time
Look in the pockets of any billionaire
You'll find an elephant and a donkey in there
One on the right, one on the left

Setbacks and scandals never seem to end
Come next November change is our friend
Get out and vote, get out and vote
KOTO and XM are playing this song
Clear channel might think it's morally wrong
Well excuse me
