I have a Rigel G-110 that lives in a TKL deluxe case (the rectangular one), but the case has no lock. It's quite a nice case so I'd rather not buy a new one, much as a Calton would be helpful. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif Does anyone have a suggestion on how to securely seal a case of this sort?
Many thanks in advance...

I have never found case locks to be all that secure anyway. You can pop most of 'em with a screwdriver. If you want security, check out the Pac Safe:

BTW, the Rigel case takes a "medium."

the lock and latch i posted above would have to take a pretty heavty blow to break it open.
jflynnstl-those are some pretty cool safty guards though.

I saw a aluminum truck bed toolbox insulation project elsewhere on this site.
or, do you have a bull terrier?
Mosler steel mandolin cases?

Steel cable at most hardware stores, and a thick aluminum tubing bit, for the purpose of fixing a loop on each end, hammer closed, and small paddlock, will keep it shut from lookie without askie.
a second one to lock it to something ., like the Dog?

If I were the least bit handy, I'd be making carbon fiber cases for sale myself. I've actually considered it given the pricing and (most of all) backlog for Calton and Pegasus.
