A friend recently played me the Same River Twice cd by this band.
I love it. The songs are good, the singing is great and the mandolin playing just oozes style and taste...
Can any of you good people tell me anything about this band? I find on County Sales that they are from the North West...

I think there is a link to the band on the Sound To Earth (Weber) web site.

They're from Montana, originally, but with a couple new members and moves they now reside in Montana, Idaho, Florida and one of the Carolinas. They're great. They're also playing this weekend at the IAMA Founder's Title Folk & Bluegrass Festival in Snowbird, Utah. Looking forward to a great show. I've seen them a half dozen or so times and they're flat out fantastic.

Their website is http://www.kanesriver.com

Joy to all,
Ken

Isn't that Ben Winship on mando? Very tasteful picker, indeed.

Yes, it's Ben. Great mando player. I saw him rip it up with Slipstream [on bouzouki] while at the Northfork Valley Bluegrass Festival. He also participated in a great little mando workshop. Nice guy -- great mandolin player.
Kick a$$ band! Their fiddle player is amazing too!
