Avi is in New York right now, and is leaving on October 28th. If anyone is interested in taking a lesson, please contact me right away. For those who don't know Avi, he is certainly one of the great virtuosi on our instrument, and is a heckuva nice guy to boot. He is equally well-versed in the Baroque and Romantic repertoire, and has been very active in commissioning new music for mandolin as well. Below are links to his web sites:

Ditto, I'll second my appreciation. His playing is simply spectacular. Be sure to play the entire cut. I'm in talks with our local NPR station to do a feature on his music. I'm good friends with the classical jocks there. Shocking, you say?! Who knew?
