Endpin installation

I recently fished my grandmother's old Strad-O-Lin out of my parent's attic, where it was subjected to NY summers and winters for 30 years. I've successfully taken the hump out of the fretboard and installed new frets. Now I'd like to install an endpin for a strap. The tailpiece is one of the two-piece kidney shaped ones with no hole for an endpin. Any suggestions on where to obtain an appropriate endpin and install it without ruining the mandoline would be greatly appreciated.

On occasion I have replaced the bottom screw of the tail piece with the screw to hold on a strap button. You will probably have to enlarge the hole for it.

Yes, you can buy endpins with a screw and mount one like Michael says. I wish I couls find a Strad-o-lin for the cost of refinishing like you have. Hope it serves you well.
