Drop D Tuning

I use a drop D tuning on my Gibson F5 for some of the traditional tunes that I play (tune the G strings down to a D). I've wondered about the stresses this might put on the neck. Any thoughts on this ya'll?

..now Im not a builder or repairman by any means..I can do routine maintenance and set-up work....so that being said my advice to you is dont worry about...its not going to cause any problems...
