thomastik for Collings

For my Collings MT can i use all
types of Thomastik strings??
What would be the preference for
bluegrass?? they have hard, medium
& soft... thanks

Go with the Starks {heavy} The TI strings don't have the volume of some of the other string, but I really like the mellow tone.
By the way, Ted has a great price on the TI strings @Jazzmando.com, and he's one of us. No financial interest ect.

I use the mittels (mediums) on my MT2 -- when I can afford them.... http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif but that's my personal preference, as heavy strings are a lot harder for me to play, and leave nasty dents in my fingertips...
