anyone have an opinion on this model? seems to have the right ingredients - asking price is $440.00 (€300.00).

what does "AVC" mean?

MAS is more or less in check - simply curious. here, on ebay italia, you rarely see a good looking "F" - most of those that do appear are from south-east asia, tarted up with too-much abalone shell.

Antique(d) Vintage Color? Just a guess...I do know it's the finish.

Beautiful inlay etc. $400 sounds quite nice. I have a vintage Shiro (Aria's other name) It is very well made, plays well and has great tone. Do you know when this one was made?
I agree that the AVC indicates the finish, nothing about the actual construction.

I got an Aria Pro II PM-780 that I can date to roughly around 1976. I bought if from the original owner. I could not get any information from the Aria company on it, but another website said my model was made between 1976 and 1982. I'm real happy with mine. It has a real good tone and good volume. It will give most mandolins twice it's value a thrashing.
