...Ive been looking around at different strings and ran across these....they are medium guage .011 .015 .026 .040....stainless steel....any thoughts, reactions or reviews?....not that it has any bearing but T. Rice uses this brand of guitar strings.

I use light gauge D'Aquistos on my Bob Givens A mando from 1979. #This was Greg Boyd's suggestion. #They are easy to play, loud, and sound great. #Then again, maybe it's the mandolin :-)

Scotti, they are some of my favorite strings only I've used the med phos bronze. I much prefer them over the J74's.

Yea! Great strings and cheap. I've never broken one and they last a good while. I use their guitar strings as well.

Scotti: I've used their strings alot. My favorite dreadnaught strings are their 740's (13-58). I also like their ph. bronze. I've been through a box each of the TR stainless guitar string and their stainless mando strings. They don't get my rave review. My overall favorite mando string is the G*** Monel or Sam Bush and the D'Aq don't sound as rich to me

i always buy some to replace broken ones, rather than buy singles. Its cheaper that way. But I don't like them too much on a regular basis, I say try em and let us know scotty.
