First off I've never been to the IBMA so I'm looking forward to this! I have a new band called "New Southern Drive" and we are showcasing on the 29th at the IBMA for the Northern Indiana Bluegrass Assoc. (NIBGA) for short, at 12:00am monday night. I'm not sure how long I'll be there but I do see that there is a mandolin cafe get together, I'd like to make that. If I can afford it I also want to spend at least one day at the trade show, we are trying to hook up with someone we know who has a booth there to pick but one of my band has to be home by Tuesday night..What a bummer! If you stop by give me a yell and let me know you are on the cafe, I enjoy meeting folks from here and can put a face with some of the names.

Our my space page is just getting started but there is some info on it. We are in studio this weekend for some demo songs and will have them up by next week.

Danny, bands are not allowed (supposedly) to play in the booths. It interferes with other booth operators trying to show their wares. Folks trying instruments have a hard enough time hearing above the din. Bands playing in booths also draw crowds and sometimes that blocks other booths. That being said, most folks manning booths wouldn't mind a couple of tunes being played in nearby booths. It's the hour long jams that get our dander up. There's nothing worse than having someone say to you, "I can't hear a thing", and walk away.
I'll be there all week. Stop by and say hello!

Ok that solves that, anyway I want to see at least one day of the trade show.

Thanks for the info Hans.

What city is this show case/trade show being held?

Is this the big show in Nashville or a regional event in Indiana?
