Happy BD to me and my Lloyd. Both born on the same day today only a few decades apart.

Hey, Darryl. #I've a great idea. #I have a student who turns 16 today, and it would really be neat if she could get one of those July 9 Loars for a birthday present. #She is a fine player, so it wouldn't be like you were giving it to some hack.
So, whadya think? #You could let me know and I'll #pass on how you can contact her to make arrangements to ship it to her. #What a great surprise!!! # # # # #

Not sure why I look so fat sitting down but I have been lifting weights and working out daily. Thanks to Darryl
and Elderly Instruments for bringing Lloyd to a new home for keeps or at least until the day I die. As you can tell it's well loved.

If it weren't for the instruments, Tommy is posed like an old Robert E. Lee painting. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Happy Birthday Tommy , Jesse , et al.
That photo of you looks somewhat like the side
pose of the " Chief " with his July 9, before
the peghead's battle scars were healed by
Mr. Wall. Anyway, the picture is a good one indeed.

You know Charlie I've got Robert E. Lee photos framed all over my house and I never noticed my pose being the same but you are right it's a Lee famous pose. I guess Lee would have been holding a pistol and sword.

Yeah Tommy, but look at it this way....
You're holding a pistol and a sword, also. Woe be to any other guitar or mandolin that gets in your way.

Hummm.... is that a compliment? Two years difference only matters if you are talking Loars and Ferns. The photo was taken on my 50th.
