The good news is that I'm pretty happy with the Radius pickup on my mandolin. The question of the day is can the Radius handle my Weber Bighorn mandola? Does anyone out there have any experience with using a one on a dola?

Don't see why it wouldn't, just have to find the part of the top, that sounds best to you, to put it .
though personally,
when I got one external mount Schertler dyn M pickup
I never had to think about mounting another pickup in each instrument,
with a switch, neutrik, in the XLR mic cord end, even hot swaps,
out of reach of the mute button on the amp, can be quiet.
comes right off one soundboard and sticks onto another.
[though I did get a second one, already built in, on a 3rd hand MiX A5]

I think the thing to do is just try it and see if it sounds doable or not. If I like it, having a second P/U might be smart since I need a minute to get the Radius clamped on the instrument correctly. In this respect, a Schertler is handier since there is no clamp to fuss with. Just wish they weren't so costly.
