I repaired a 12 string guitar with the head stock cracked through the back above the 2nd tuners. That Gorilla glue and clamp held fine, but then the body started to come apart. I fixed that, but decided that 12 strings was too much tension for the instrument. I could have cut it down to a 6 string, but I have a friend with huge hands and fingers. He always wanted to play a stringed instrument. When I spread those 4 strings out in a space that previously had been, he has room for those big fingers. He's playing and grinning.
