Steve, go to The Southwest Florida Bluegrass Assn.'s site, and there's a listing on that website of jams around the state. Welcome to Hurricane Alley. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Welcome! I live just outside of Orlando.
Here' a link to a post in response to an Orlando question - Mando Cafe Link (http://www.mandolincafe.net/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=26;t=55874).
In that post check out the link and find the heading Central Florida and their you will have a pretty good list of what's going on in the are. #The Cassia jam, which is just outside of Orlando, is supposed to be really good. I myself don't frequent jams but I play in a band and last night we picked with some other guys till the sun came up. #Great time, not purist bluegrass. #So send me your email address and if something comes up maybe we can pick some. # #
Here's a link for an Old Time jam - Old Time Jam (http://www.folkfiddle.com/tunes/tunes.htm). #I haven't gone to this one is a long time but they're pretty active.
