There is a Mid Missouri M-0 in ebay, it closes tomorrow night. #it is starting with a bid of $150, with no reserve.

The instrument has a crack in the back, easily repaired by the look of it.

The pictures show the burned in "Mid Missouri Mandolin Company" mark on the side of the headstock. #The description states that the label is missing.

So far no bids have been received. #That may be because people are waiting to the last. #I am concerned about the possibility of it having been stolen, with the label removed to cover this. #The sellers seem to be OK, they deal mostly in photo equipment, they may have bought it not having my suspicions.

It looks as if someone will get a good deal on this one, I don't know if I can bid on it wondering about it's status.

I scored a "buy it now" M-1 on ebay last year for $200 with HSC. Its label came in the case compartment. Maybe Mike's not gluing them in too well.

If you can get a Mid-Mo for ~$200, I wouldn't hesitate...label or not.

Well, I'm going by my own Mid Missouri, it is 10 years old and the label shows no sign of loosening. I like the idea of provenance, not that it is a collector's item, but that I know it has not had a dodgy history.

Your experience catmandu2 takes away some misgiving,. At least it shows a reason to give the benefit of a doubt.
