Picked up my Washburn M3SW last night and notice the tuning was down a couple of keys, tuned it up & didn't think any more about it. Today I noticed that the top has collapsed/creased under the tailpiece. It has not split through yet but looks like it will. Has anyone else had this problem? I assume this is an expensive repair & unless the Washburn lifetime ltd warranty is honored, probably not worth fixing. Your thoughts or condolences will be appreciated.

Over at the discussion board at the Washburn site (they call them "jam groups"), there is a post here (http://www.washburn.com/jamgroup1/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=547) from somebody who had the same experience with an M3-SW. Washburn replaced the instrument without hassle. However, that one was only a few weeks old; don't know what the response would be after a few years. Still, well worth getting in touch with Washburn.

I had a Washburn m-2sb and the lower front partially collapsed below the bridge. Sounds familiar...no more of these.
