Yep, those are exactly the same as the ones on my 2001 Master Model. These are hands down the best mandolin tuners you can buy, IMHO. I壇 post a picture but yours are shinier than mine. I知 sure you値l love them.

My gold A-model tuners have the same engraving, matte finish (I believe all Waverlies are finished matte).

Are Waverly tuners made in America? Have they always been made by the same co.? All I know is that they cost a lot but I hear they are the best in the world. I also hear that Gibson is working on some Waverly like new tuners from another co that may be as good as Waverlys. I wonder if the future master model will have the new tuners? Nick

Nick, the box mine came in said they were made by the Waverly Manufacturing Company in Bozeman, MT, and Made in the USA for distribution by Stewart McDonald in Athens Ohio. I've never tried them yet, but I can say they look awesome and have the feel of quality.

How much does a set cost?

With ivoroid or ebony buttons $400. pearl buttons are a bunch more. They are very sensitive to accuracy of installation.

The ones in the photograph are the pearl buttons and they cost me $475.00 directly from StewMac. I don't know if they're worth that kind of money, but they sure look cool. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I just got a Doyle Lawson Gibson and it's keys are a lot like the Waverly's, but the engraving on the plate is different. Are there different Waverly's for OEM use as opposed to aftermarket?
