hiya, folks. im probably gonna end up just figuring this tune out in D, but before i make up my mind, i figured i'd check in with you guys. do any of you have a sweet version in mind for this old hymn? its just gonna be the mandolin and i; no other accompaniment. thanks for your help!

Look it up at Cyber Hymnal (http://www.cyberhymnal.com). There's a midi file to every song there. If you want recordings, the only ones I know of are Maire Brennan or Michael Card. Don't remember the album names now, but let me know if you need them, I can look them up for you.

Curtis Buckhannon does a great mando version on The Buckhannon Brothers CD "Back Home Again." There is a clip on their website here:

As cool as that arrangement is, it is actually pretty easy to learn and play. I have performed my take on it several times at church.
