Converting g-tone banjo

I HAVE A GOLD TONE CC-50RP THAT HAS CRACK IN NECK WANTING TO CONVERT TO BANJO MANDOLINE. I THOUGHT MAYBE I WOULD JUST GO TO A 4 STRING ,I THINK MAYBE ALL I WOULD HAVE TO CHANGE IS THE NECK AND AJUST.DOES ANYBODY KNOW OF A LUTHIER IN IL OR IA THAT DOES THIS OR ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO DO THIS http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mandosmiley.gif
