Ok, Big Joe and Charlie,
Why have you been keeping this one from us ?

#This certainly gives new meaning to the scroll on the headstock. I can't believe the fellows at Gibson were trying to hide this from us. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

I looked at this today and thought it odd that it was priced so low...then again, it still has six days left http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
I'm surprised she hasn't ammended her add yet.

She has ammended her add. She says in effect that several people have emailed her saying that it is not a Gibson and others have said it is not the usual headstock found on a Gibson.
However she does not say it is not a Gibson.
She has changed the starting bid to $300 and as of the writing of this no one has bid.

The tuners on the violin style headstock appear to come from a Hagstrom electric guitar. Anyone know if Hagstrom ever made a mandolin (i.e., The Hagstrom)?
She has one bid, and it looks like someone that sells guitars, so he must know what he's doing. 300? Thanks, no.

It says Gibson on the case, maybe says Gibson on the tailpiece cover. If you don't know, what are you to think?
A friend called one day to see if I was interested in a "Remo" banjo that was for sale.
In case you don't know, Remo makes banjo heads and proudly plasters their logo on those heads.
An honest mistake.
I still think Big Joe and Charlie are trying to hide some new model from us. And after all we have done for them!!
I never suspected the seller of doing any thing other than making an honest mistake. ....HOWEVER... Those guys at Gibson. Who knows what evil lurks within???

Yeah, honest mistake, she really doesn't know, and as long as she puts a question mark around it, well, she's not trying to pull a fast one. Caveat emptor......
It's up to 355 now. My gosh.
It really dosen't matter what the headstock looks like if it sounds good.
