I've just spoken with a "tech" at Stew Mac regarding compatibility of their Binding Router Guide (item # 5248) and the new Dremel 300 series rotary tool.
His response.."It'll probably work"
Doesn't exactly instill a whole lotta confidence...
Can anyone verify if they are compatible ?

Thanks Sanchan http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

I have a new dremel 300 (variable speed), and it works fine.

They could use some instructions on how to setup bit depth and such, as it's a bit of trial and error: test on scrap till you get it 'right' for each channel. The 'Up Down' depth is essentially set by how deep you have the bit in the dremel. A bit daunting at first, putting a bit turning at 30K on your freshly carved and glued top, but as long as you pay attention to routing direction, it works fine. The bit they sell as a companion works quite well, so far.
