View Full Version : Kentucky Ridge mp3
So Whos is in that band Kentucky Ridge? I love those songs in mandolin cafe mp3 section. I they sound like a really really refined band. Who is singing on the weekend lover? and playing mando? I'd like to hear some more of their music.

..ahhmm..that would be me on mando on those 2 songs....thanks for the compliment. The band Kentucky ridge is no more..in fact they disbanded before the Cd was finished. They consisted of Darren McGuire..guitar and the voice you refer to...Adam McIntosh on guitar and mando/vocals..Dewey Smith..electric bass/vocals and Chuck Little on Fiddle/vocals. I was asked to help finish out the Cd by Merrel Boggs..the banjo player and writer of all the songs on the Cd including the 2 MP3's here on the cafe..as well as 2 or 3 others. Thanks for your interest...they were a good band...while it lasted. I do have a couple Cds left if you would like one..contact me off list..

Yep to Scotti, I got the CD in the mail and there are a couple of mando boys on it. Both are good, one is better and I know who that is...so does he http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
Seriously, 'though...good, tight, lead-by-example music which bears repeated listening, a quality which separates the wheat from the chaff, to my ears.

Hi Folks,
Ya, some fine mandolin on the Kentuchy Ridge "Mountain Memories" CD. If you want one e-mail me at
bordley@mindignition.net and I will get back with you. We are trying to arrange a site to buy them on line. I think Lakes Jewelers in Franklin, Ohio has a few copies.
