I missed it but I suppose Thile is still a Cubs fan.
There are a few decent mando players out there who are Cubs fans. Most years they end up playing the blues http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

This week in baseball comes on fox every saturday before the game of the week. Thile loving the ever lovable, lovable losers (cubs cough) was interviewed on his baseball interests.

I assume that's the part you were talkin about

The cubs are in a bit of a slump I'd say. 100 years and countin. Who knows they might have a shot this year.

Punch Brothers band member Chris Thile is the centerpiece of Chevy's "Baseball Is ..." segment. Thile is a diehard Maddux and Cubs fan, and is the descendent of Hall of Fame slugger Sam Thompson, who was one of the greatest players from the late-1800s.

"He was a lot of fun to talk with," Potocki said of Thile. "He's a legit baseball fan and he knows his numbers."

And as always, viewers can catch the best highlights and bloopers from the past week in "How 'bout That," which features the single "Punch Bowl" from the Punch Brothers.

ahh, you know when Nickel Creek was in Minneapolis a few years ago Chris told the audience that he really enjoyed watching the then-hot-slugger Justin Morneau (or was it Joe Mauer?) of the Twins. Maybe he was being nice to the Mn crowd, I'd like to think he was just telling the truth..preach on brother! Ah, I'm a nerd. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
