Who is going to Telluride for the bluegrass festival and which shows do you intend to catch?

Me! Me!

Man, I'm excited. #http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif I live about a seven-hour drive northeast of Telluride, and every mile will be beautiful.

I'm only catching Saturday and Sunday on the main stage, but will also be attending the Duhks Nightgrass show. Yeehaw!

How about yourself?

The must see acts for us are:
Peter Rowan
Ricky Skaggs
Sam Bush
Jerry Douglas
Punch Brothers
John Cowan

My wife and I are still working on picking the rest. There are some groups that sound pretty good on YouTube that we don't know much about, such as The Duhks, Cadillac Sky, Brett Denin and The Swell Season.

I am green with envy. I was there two years ago, and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. There were a few things that annoyed me at the time, but those things sort of fade away in retrospect and leave you with a lot of great musical memories.

Does anyone know if it's being broadcast this year? On satellite radio or web for those who can't make it? I know it's on the local public radio station.

I think koto-fm is the only live feed, havent seen anything on the xm schedule. They actually have a bluegrass band playing on thursday, some guy named Del, followed by the always entertaining Ani Difranco. Last time I saw her at Telluride she was following Ralph Stanley and #2, I swear Ralphs tourbus popped a wheelie leaving during her set!
Anyone interested in a sunny morning jam, we'll be on the porch at baked-in-telluride on south fir thurs and fri morn 9am or so. If you do not have a mandolin, one will be provided for you!

I hear-tell that Ryan Adams is playing there this year. I'd put his show at the top of the "Must See" list, besides the usual suspects.
